Welcome to Devon Cottage Organic Fudge, Traditional Crumbly Fudge made with organic, and fairtrade ingredients.

I make two basic types of fudge: a very traditional crumbly fudge that simply melts in the mouth, and a slightly chewy fudge that still maintains a crumbly background.

The fudge I make has now the higher quality that is associated with organic ingredients and it is accredited by both the Soil Association and the Fairtrade Foundation.

The ingredients:

  • golden crystal evaporated cane sugar that comes from fairtrade projects in Paraguay (www.floridacrystals.com);
  • organic full cream milk powder and butter for the wonderful creamy taste and texture;
  • organic clotted cream obtained locally from an organic farm and charitable project (www.gilead.org.uk) ;
  • vanilla flavouring is both organic and fairtrade;
  • organic fresh fruit is used in the fruit fudges – bananas and oranges;
  • the ginger fudge contains organic ground ginger;
  • the coffee fudge contains fair trade coffee;
  • real white rum from a fairtrade project in Paraguay;

For an even more luxurious finish, the vanilla flavoured bars can be coated with a high quality dark or white Belgium chocolate. The white is organic fairtrade the dark is not.
The dark has a minimum cocoa solid content of 55%.
The white has a minimum cocoa solid content of 28%

No artificial additives, colourings or emulsifiers are used, therefore the fudge has a completely clean natural flavour.
